FiveToNine
Design teamed up with Openshaw
Design to produce temporary alternative street signs with
a local slant for the Deptford
Design Festival 2007 (part of London
Design Festival). They were installed along Creekside,
London SE8, during the festival.
Here we present a visual record of the project, alongside
those design concepts that – for various reasons – never
made it into production.
We set out to not only promote the festival (by flagging up the main
venues) and the local area, but also to take a more critical look
at Deptford, warts an' all.
Limited edition t-shirts featuring three of the
signs were for sale at the festival and are available
whilst stocks last, by emailing info@se8signs.co.uk.
Shirts cost £10 and come in 5 sizes: Men's XL, L, M, and Women's
L & M (fitted with capsleeves).
If you have any suggestions for future signs please email your ideas
to info@se8signs.co.uk |
